Streets, Sewer, and Sanitation

 

The Marysville Borough Street, Sewer, and Sanitation Committee is comprised of three members from Borough Council and meets monthly to discuss any matters related to the borough owned sanitary sewer system, refuse collection, and Streets.The borough owns and operates a 1.25mgd Sequencing Batch Reactor plant which services 1200 dwelling units that are mostly comprised of residential homes.The Street, Sewer and Sanitation Committee makes recommendations to borough council on items such as sewer plant upgrades, infrastructure needs, trash and recycling contracts, billing of accounts and any other items related to the sanitary sewer system paving projects, crack sealing, winter maintenance, leaf collection and street sweeping. In addition, this committee is responsible for preparing and implementing the 10 year roadway improvement plan and for projecting the future traffic needs of the borough.
